Austrian Citizenship
Austrian citizenship allows you to obtain an Austrian passport which is an EU passport. This means being able to live and work in all EU countries legally, entering the United States without having to issue a tourist visa, being able to study at academic institutions across the EU at a reduced cost reserved for EU residents and many other benefits received by EU citizens.
Unlike other European citizenships, those applying for Austrian citizenship are not required to pass language tests or reside in Austria before obtaining citizenship.
Also, it is not necessary that previous generations on whom the citizenship applicant relies in order to obtain citizenship, will also issue Austrian citizenship (additional savings in unnecessary costs).
However, in order to obtain citizenship it must be proved that the applicant has no criminal record. In conclusion, the main and almost the only requirement of the applicant for citizenship is to prove that he is a descendant of the Nazi persecutors who lived in present-day Austrian territory and were citizens of the Austro-Hungarian state or empire or stateless, and were forced to leave before May 15, 1955.

Austrian citizenship for descendants of Nazi persecuted
Restoration of Austrian citizenship is possible for descendants of Nazi persecutors, who were Austrian citizens or citizens of countries that were part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire such as Italy, Yugoslavia, Croatia, Poland, Romania, Czechoslovakia and Hungary, and lived in Austria Before May 15, 1955. without having to give up existing citizenship.
This is an amendment to the law that expands the circle of those entitled to Austrian citizenship. Also allows descendants of Austrian women, family lineage of those who have served permanently or in the Ministry of Defense and descendants who themselves have served permanently or in the Ministry of Defense contrary to law.
The amendment to the law will enter into force on September 1, 2020.
